So, I’m warning you…this is a vent post. 

Yesterday (Wed) at work, I was passing by a couple of gals who were pointing at a newspaper sitting on a counter.   One lady says, “that is such a horrible event!” and the other points to the picture of the gunman and says, “well, of COURSE he’s South Korean!”   WHAT?  So I stopped and said, “what does that mean?  Why does the fact that he’s from S. Korea matter?”  Her response:  ”Because they’re communists.   Everyone knows that!  They have that crazy dictator that people spoof.”     It took all my willpower to not slap her across the face with the dumbass rod.   Then she continues, “Yeah, THOSE people and the Arabs are the worst…”   I was so appalled, I just blurted out, “You’re a fucking moron.   It’s North Korea with the lunatic dictator.   South Korea is not a communist country.   I have never been so insulted or offended by anyone in my whole entire life.”   After my tirade, she just shrugged and said, “I guess I got my Asian countries confused.”  WOW…and they let morons like this vote?  

Ugh.   I felt anger towards her but now it’s just pity.  

So, there really aren’t that many guys on my manjoyment “list” but I’ll be 18 rows away from one of them shortly, courtesy of Matt!!   I think he’s even excited to go…a little.  I dunno what it is about Justin.   I think it was his 2nd turn on SNL that made me dream for my very own “Dick in a Box“.     Picture is courtesy of Details who was nice enough to stick him on their cover. 

Just in case you’re wondering, the others on my “list” are:   Michael Buble, Rodrigo Santoro, Leonardo di Caprio, Mark Ruffalo and David Beckham.  Yeah yeah, that last one is weird in a high maintenance kind of way, but he’s still pretty hot.

i was puttering around the backyard today and saw that my roses had bloomed wonderfully…when did this happen?  it wasn’t like this last week?!   ahhhh…i love springtime. 

I love this time of year!   It’s awesome that my TiVo caught “Sound of Music” on the teevee 3 times this week alone!   So exciting!   I wish I were kidding…but the Sound of Music is the other thing I’m a fanatic about.   I can sing along and recite along with the best of them!

Hoping your holiday was just as pleasant… 

I effing love Woot!  …it totally feeds my shopping on the internet craving.   They just sell one item per day at a discounted price…and once the 24hrs has passed, it’s gone.  No longer wootable.   But not to worry, at midnight, another Woot shows up.   Ahhhh.    The evil cycle continues….

 Ooh…and for you winos out there…there’s Wine Woot!   Woooootiewootwootwooooooot!  Man, can it get any better?  WeedWoot!?      PrescriptionDrugWoot!?

this is my adorable niece Lilly.  she looks just like me!  well, except for the fact that she’s blonde, blue eyed, anyhow, whatever…she looks JUST like me!   i miss her a lot (although we only live 4 hrs away, it’s hard to get up there to see her) so I figured I would post a picture here so I could look at her whenever. she makes me smile.

got up at 6, at Noahs for bagels and Peets for cawfee by 715, on the road by 720.  hit the park down in San Jose by 815 for a lacrosse double header.  won the first, lost the second due to one part fatigue, one part plethora of penalties.  games ended by 2 and we were at Straits Cafe (santana row) by 215.  After a couple of gallons of vodka, we headed down the strip and ended up at the Container Store.  It was definitely a necessary trip since i almost had a heartattack a couple weeks back trying to find our previous yr’s tax returns in the rubble of packing boxes (yeah, we have YET to unpack it all).  So, now we are attempting to organize our lives and keep it as uncluttered as we can.  Check back in a while and I’ll let you know how it’s going.   Sometimes I can be quite anal, other times?  I’m like Pigpen from the Peanuts just leaving a trail as I wander through life. 

Favorite purchases thus far:   cute lap desk from the CS for my laptop.  I love it.   It was getting to be a pain balancing the laptop on my knees…   

 and the cascading letter file for the tax returns/vet visit papers. 

 Yeah…it’s been a slow weekend but compared to last weekend?  I wouldn’t have it any other way.  

My fascination with Giada De Laurentiis?   Matt calls her the Human Bobblehead but I adore her.   Not a big fan of the FoodNetworkers and most of their show hosts (although the original Iron Chef chairman is the shiznit as is Anthony Bourdain) so this is totally an anomaly.  Oh and I ahbor Rachael Ray.    She’s like a human pez dispenser on crack.  Her voice actually causes my teeth to itch and is it just me or when she talks,  does she look like Kyle’s brother Ike from Southpark?  I’m sure she’s a nice person and all, but her recipes don’t really do much for me.   Anyway, I digress.

I think I like Giada the most because she comes across as very personable and not as fake as aforementioned Pezhead.   Come on, who’s that peppy ALL the time?  Well, without some sort of chemical help.  Sorry, I’ll stop.   Back to Giada.  Anyway, her recipes are pretty tasty too…the other day, I made her Chicken with olives and capers.    Considering the fact that I’m not a big chicken fan?  It was really good.  

 That’s it.  No point really,  just wanted to air my hatorade for RR and love for GDL. 

My friend Maire has been wanting a pup for a while and our walks at the Lafayette reservoir with Hana definitely pushed her over the edge. After lots of hemming and hawing, we now have another Coton owner! Welcome to the lush life, little Nemo! And Maire? Welcome to a few months of housetraining, cratetraining and puppy training hell/heaven. This is awesome because Cooper and Nemo are litter brothers so it will be cool to compare how they develop and grow.
