I think that this is going to be my new motto in life.   The best laid plans always go awry.   I’ve decided that I can’t really plan anything anymore…and I just need to let go and stop being so anal retentive about everything!
It’s taken me a while to post anything new because it’s really hard [...]

WTF, originally uploaded by ihategreenpeas.
It’s pancake/waffle batter in a spray can. The packaging actually reads: No mess, no cleanup. You simply shake and spray onto your choice of frypan or waffle iron!
ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?
And it’s ORGANIC? What??

I’m knocked up!   Yup.  It’s been 2 months since my last post and I haven’t had the energy to sit in front of a computer and try to gather my thoughts together.   I’m not used to feeling this way.   I thought perhaps I was just going through my lazy sloth stage but I’m not that [...]

Wow!

So, it just dawned on me that I haven’t posted since the beginning of the month.   It’s been a crazy fun-filled couple of weeks.  It was Matt’s birthday on the 12th so we hung out in San Francisco at KFOG’s Kaboom, listened to music and watched the fireworks over the bay.  The next day we [...]

Chicken, orzo, roasted bell peppers, creme fraiche, scallions, ricotta cheese, sea salt, eggs, parmigiano reggiano.  I love this dish because it makes a good cold leftover.  I’ve been cooking a lot lately.  On Monday night we had my mom over for “Mom’s Choice” dinner.   Of course, her choice [...]

got up at 6, at Noahs for bagels and Peets for cawfee by 715, on the road by 720.  hit the park down in San Jose by 815 for a lacrosse double header.  won the first, lost the second due to one part fatigue, one part plethora of penalties.  games ended by 2 and we [...]

My fascination with Giada De Laurentiis?   Matt calls her the Human Bobblehead but I adore her.   Not a big fan of the FoodNetworkers and most of their show hosts (although the original Iron Chef chairman is the shiznit as is Anthony Bourdain) so this is totally an anomaly.  Oh and I ahbor Rachael Ray.    She’s like a human [...]

My cousin’s daughter just celebrated her first birthday.  In Korea, it’s called “Ddol”.  Long ago, due to the lack of medical information on children’s diseases in Korea, most children often did not see their first birthday.  If they made it to their first birthday, it was celebrated as a significant event as their chances of [...]

So…my mom gave me these organic onions about 4 months ago.   I am not one of those people who have a well-stocked pantry so of course, I forget that I have them and I go out and purchase more onions. Today, I walked by the mesh bag (note: unopened) and this is what I ended [...]
