I think I overcame a BIG hurdle of self-control just the other day when someone had the stupidity to ask me, “So, are you going to raise your child Asian?” It took all of my power to not slap them across the face with the stupid stick.
Um. How does one do that? And if it’s possible, how do I go about raising it Irish, Belgian, Polish, Spanish and pretty much every other country in Europe that my husband’s ethnic melting pot is created with?
Some people are dumber than a box of hair.

I know. Stuuuupid question/comment. They abound at life events: weddings (so are you getting married because you’re PREGNANT?!) and you know, pregnancies.
Sadly, I knew what she was trying to get at.
This other lady at work commented “oh my, your hips are getting wider!! it’s almost ready for the baby to poke it’s head out!”
I swear, some people need to have an inner-thought censor/filter.
I have been sitting here trying to think of a good comeback other than the most withering “don’t look into my eyes if you would like to live” type glare. honestly…what?!
