The past couple of weeks have blown by.  It’s amazing how you just get so involved in what you’re doing that you don’t notice the time slipping away.  So Valentine’s Day was a week or so ago…and we spend it eating heart shaped Krispy Kremes and going to Celia’s for dinner.  It was so crowded!  We rarely go out for the 14th so we weren’t ready for the wait.  Oh well…it was still nice and mellow.  I think that’s as romantic as we can get.  ;-)

Last weekend was the SF Orchid show at Fort Mason.  The day was picture perfect.  Slight breeze and mid 70s.  Big puffy white clouds and a bright warm sun.  I took mom and she just ate it up.  There were so many gorgeous blooms!  One especially that smelled of chocolate.  Not my most favorite scent when it comes to flowers but now I might have to change my mind… pictures really can’t do them justice…

I love extended weekends…but why is it that when you get back to work, it seems to feel like a 6 day work week when in fact, it’s only 4?  This week kicked my ass…I think my butt has seen more of my couch than ever.  Luckily, it’s been raining so I don’t feel as guilty not being able to walk the reservoir.

Matt had his first lacrosse coaching game of the year today.  We were hoping for sun but we gladly took the break from the rain with the overcast skies instead.  Beggars can’t be choosers…sadly, his team lost.   But I swear, one kid on the opposing team looked like he was in college.  I hear he’s in 8th grade.  What the hell is in the water out here?  Jeebus…I think he’s a ringer.   :)

Anyway, this is a momumental weekend.  Cooper is finally housebroken!  It’s been a rough two weeks.  I actually was so fed up scrubbing shit out of the carpet that I asked if we could just leave him in front of a hospital or fire station.  Matt didn’t really think that was funny.  It was worth a shot.   We are counting down the days til Cooper has all his shots so we can take them back to the dog park.  They really need to expel some of their energy.  It’s seriously becoming Puppy Thunderdome in our house.  Hana’s definitely craving some time away from the house and Cooper has way too much energy for his and OUR good.  We’re just lucky that our house is in one piece.  They haven’t discovered that our couches are made from the same stuff as their chew toys.  Yet.
