Hana had an encounter with a tick at Scott & Lynn’s house during the Super Bowel and although we had extracted its’ tail, the damned tick’s head was embedded in her noggin.  She was not a happy dog so a vet visit was in order.  Bright idea:  take the new puppy along to the vet to get it started on it’s shots.  So, on the way to the vet, Cooper barfs.  Barfs this cornmeal-y watery substance that starts sloshing from one side of the crate to the other when I make turns.  How does a 5lb dog barf so much?  It had to be at least 1liter of barf.  Okay, more like 2 cups.  But still. It was all over him.  Luckily, Hana was in the front seat.  By the time we get to the vet, it just smells funky in the car.  Grandma-funky.  Oh well.  At the vet’s, everything seems to be going okay.  Hana’s relieved that she’s not getting shots or a thermometer up her bum.  Apparently, it’s best to leave the tick’s head in Hana’s head and let her body just naturally expel it.  Sweet.  Cooper, on the other hand,  needs to come back in a couple of days for his shots.  They are worried that he might just barf again and we won’t be able to tell if it’s from the stress or the meds.  So, we leave.  Not 1 minute after I get onto the freeway, Cooper’s ass just let’s loose.  Ugh.  It was rancid.  A hybrid of baby diaper and dog food.  That scent dogpiled with the puke from earlier made me nauseous.   I could even see Hana’s eyes well up from the stench.  Not even having the windows rolled down and the sunroof open could save me.  Then it got better.  It started raining.  No choice but to close the windows and sunroof and hotbox it.  I wanted to cry.  There’s nothing better than dry-heaving while driving on the freeway in the rain.   Luckily, I had to make a stop at Matt’s work.  I left Pooper with Matt (yay)… and Hana & I drove home.   I have to say, it was nice to be at home without worrying about a non-housebroken puppy.  Hana even sighed with relief…
